Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third child of five. Beverly Bushfield is her mom, and Thad Harden who was serving in the army service, was her father. Family members moved frequentlyher first interest in the theatre when the family moved to Greece and had attended plays in Athens. Harden began her studies in American institutions in Europe and returned to the US to finish her studies in the University of Texas in 1983; went on to earn an MFA degree at NYU after which she was able to begin her career as an actor. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers comedy that cleverly paid homage of the 1990 gangster film, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden had appeared in movies in the year 1986 (in the less well-known The Imagemaker), she was a sexy female lead in her first major role. Harden received praise for her sexy performance in Verna. Harden thereafter worked steadily in supporting roles, including her portrayal as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) the biopic for television about Frank Sinatra.
