Lizzo

LizzoLizzo joined a rock group called prog where she sang and sometimes played her flute. The family she was born into had moved to Denver, so she was left on her own as she tried to establish her career in Houston. Lizzo was a single woman in her car, sometimes sleeping on the floor in her studio recording studio and washed her clothes at the gym. Lizzo lost her father when she was twenty years old. The two were close and it was a terrible loss. After her father's passing, Lizzo parted from the prog-rock band in 2010. After a short stop in Denver in 2010, Lizzo moved to Minneapolis upon the request of a friend in 2011. Soon she was a part of the city's music scene. She was part of the girls' group Chalice and GRRRL PRTY. The first album she released, Lizzobangers, came out in 2013 via an independent label.
